JAP TV? WHO CARES?

All the shows on tv are in Nihongo. In the mornings, there are kiddie shows and I noticed that despite not understanding the language, Nikki and Ethan still pay attention to the shows. I mean, there are times when they comprehend what was shown or simply identify some of the things they are familiar with. As an adult, I usually just flip through channels just to see what's on but I was never interested in the shows. I suppose in my subconscious, I knew that all the shows were in Nihongo and so I thought, "this will not interest me because I won't understand it". Well, after observing Nikki and Ethan, I realize that we don't have to speak one language to learn new things and to be interested in new things. =D
